What does Throne record? We only capture images of the contents of your toilet bowl. Any other data is irrelevant to our mission and could compromise our ability to provide accurate health insights.
We use image recognition technology to automatically delete any non-relevant images. This ensures that only toilet-related data is retained.

We're developing features to make information export easier and more user-friendly.
You also can request full account deletion at any time. All of your data, including health information, is erased when your account is deleted.
Data privacy and sharing We do not access an individual’s data. Our team only analyzes anonymized, aggregated data, which means the data can’t be traced back to original user—to you!
By default, we do not share your information with any third parties. In the case where sharing might be beneficial, like exporting for your healthcare team, we will always get your explicit permission first.
Our commitment to security Information collected by the Throne hardware is encrypted in transit to our servers, using TLS 1.2 or higher.
And, all of your data on our database is encrypted, both in transit and at rest.
When your data travels from your device to our servers, it’s like sending a message in code. Even if the information was intercepted, it would be essentially impossible to understand.
Once your data reaches our servers, it remains encrypted and in this state. Even if someone gained access to our servers, they could not get access to your information.
For iOS users, your phone’s built-in security ensures that your data is encrypted when your device is locked, providing additional protection.
Finally, we conduct regular security audits to ensure we are doing the best job we can against potential threats who might want access to your information.
